Thank you for plugging, TAFA, Ellen! It's been a rather fun exercise, this creating of the TAFA alphabet. I get to learn along the way, too!

I was immediately drawn to the Moss Green Agate scarf when I saw the new photos and it's been great to see its story. I'm partial to nubby silk and prefer it over the slippery, smooth varieties... Kudos to all of you!

Thanks, Rachel. It's good to be back in Canada. As we unpack the boxes of textiles, I'm struck that the themes this year seems to be TEXTURE and COLOUR. The Eri silks and organic cottons are full of texture. And the traditional Mulberry silks soak up colour beautifully, as you can see! I do love natural dyes.

Oh, Ellen! Thanks for plugging TAFA! You have been such a great support ever since we started out as an idea. It really is blossoming into something beautiful and I love it that TAMMACHAT and so many of our members are doing meaningful work in so many places around the world.

Thanks for this lovely testimony, Ellen! I'm very proud of TAFA! Yes, I have worked hard at it, but I could never have done it alone and see it as an incredible democratic experiment. You and the other pioneers who helped get it going, also shaped the vision and the community aspect. It's such an honor to be a part of it!

TAFA does not charge yearly membership dues so our main source of revenue comes from new members and ads. If any of you reading this would like to advertise with us, you will be supporting a wonderful concept that still really needs financial support. Our new website is still not finished and we need to raise more money to do that, so the ads will help us reach that goal.

We are offering a 50% discount to non-members through March 20th as a way to generate that and to give people a chance to test our audience without making a huge investment. Give us a try!

Thanks. I love silks with texture too! We do have handspun, organic cotton fabric by the metre (is that still called yardage?!), in a sumptious indigo blue. Thank you for the link to my article which has enabled me to find your wonderful blog which I will definitely be exploring tonight. I have only recently extended my backstrap weaving explorations beyond South and Central America to Asia and the weaving of the hilltribe people (Montagnard) of Vietnam.
